College Students Stress Over The Pressure. Do You?
College students stress over a lot of things. But what's a big one? You're your own man (or woman). In college you have to rely on yourself. No parents. It's all you. And that feeling is a big source of college student stress. Is your college stress a result of this too? You see, college is a lot different than high school. In high school, school was your only worry. But in college, it's a whole different ball game. You have to suddenly learn to live and support yourself. You have to learn to get by with your knowledge. And that's where you start to feel stressed out... Today, you'll learn why this is a big cause of stress. More importantly, I'll give you some tips for you to use! Ready? Let's go! College Students Stress Over Themselves! In college, books and deadlines aren't your only worry. It would be wonderful if it were, wouldn't it? But it's not. So what else do you have to stress about? Yourself. You have to make decisions that affect your future. You have to be responsible and manage your time wisely. And just to make things worse? Your parents aren't there for you. You need to rely on your friends and professors, to help you manage yourself properly. What do I mean by "manage yourself"? If you live on campus, you'll know what I'm talking about. Laundry, money, discipline, and many other things that you may not have had to worry about back in good old high school. And let me tell you why the stress builds up... You are suddenly expected to learn to take care of yourself. You are suddenly expected to manage yourself, and your studies. Why is it all of a sudden? Because there's a big difference between high school and college. And you may be ready for that change. Thus, you become stressed out! So there you have it. You know "why" college students stress over themselves. Let's get to the fun part... Here Are Some Tips You Can Use! When you're feeling helpless in college, always stop whatever you're doing. Whether you're working on a project or simply reading a book, stop. Why? College is a busy place. Everyone's doing something. And having to take care of yourself makes it all the more busy. And stressful. So put a stop to all that "business" and do the following... Forget about yourself. Really (you'll see where I'm going with this). Focus only on your work. Bring back a high school day in college! Only focus on your work, and pretend like it's just another high school day where you don't have to worry about being your own person. Then what? Do this for a whole day, and see how much work you get done. Happy about your work? Go for another day. Until you hit a week. This is when you look back and think, "Wow! I never knew I could finish so much work!" And then, comes the best part... Then, see what was the effect of "forgetting about yourself". You'll be surprised. You know why? By forgetting about your personal matters, you have cleared up your mind. And my having a clear mind, you got more work done. You also have more time. Why? It's not wasted by stressing about yourself. Then? You'll be able to slowly get your personal matters back into your life again! One day at a time. One matter at a time. With a clear and focused mind, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to manage yourself and your work! But remember, you have to be patient. Take it in strides. But at the end, it'll all come together. And that means, no more college stress! College Students Stress Over Themselves but You Don't! Great! You've learned how to avoid stressing about your personal matters in college. By focusing on the more important things, the less important things will slowly start to fit in. College students stress over themselves, but you don't! What should you do next? Share it with a few of your stressed out college buddies; they'll thank you for it!
