Confusing enough?

It isn't. Whether you want stress management at work, or you just want to make your office a stress-free place, you're in for a some success today. Ready to go? Alright...

Office Stress Management: Be Happy About Work

So, why should you be happy about work? It will establish that attitude in your mind. It will increase your chances of having a good time at work.

And more importantly?

Being happy about work will decrease the chances of you getting stressed out. How? How does this all work? Well, in order to understand that, let's take a look at the opposite attitude.

Office Stress Management: Work is Not Jail!

Have you ever woken up from bed one morning and though, "On no, not work again! It's torture!". I bet you have. Work isn't the most fascinating thing, so those grim thoughts aren't exclusive to you.

So, if you do find yourself thinking work to be a terrible and bad place to be, it will turn out that way! Why?

You've already made that decision. Your brain has already concluded, "Okay. Work is bad." So what's your brain going to do? It will most likely expect that.

Once you've mad a mental decision, it's very hard to change that. What do I mean by that? Once again, here is another one my stories...

Office Stress Management: How Did I know That?

It was half an hour until my "mini-job" at the tutoring center began. And my thoughts exactly? "That kid is going to make it so stressful".

You see, there was a specific kid I was supposed to teach mathematics. And the problem? He never had any patience, and he is rarely willing to listen. I always found it stressful trying to teach him.

So there I was, walking to work thinking about how bad of a time I was going to have there. I entered, and I sat in my regular teaching table. I was already telling myself about the stress I will be facing.

But then, 5 minutes passes. The boy didn't come. 10 minutes, then 1 hour passed, and he still didn't show up. I should be relieved right? But guess what?

Remember all that constant worrying and reminding myself of how stressful it was going to be?

It came back to bite me. Hard. I wasn't happy or relieved. Why? Because of that particular boy, I started thinking of work itself the same way. I started thinking of work itself to be stressful.

Moral of the Story?

You see, once you start worrying about one anything that is related to work, you start worrying about the source itself. And this is case, the source is your job.

What does this mean for you?

If you worry about not seeing eye-to-eye with your boss (or anything work-related)) over and over again, the very idea of work will become stressful too. And it's very hard to change that attitude.

Take-home Lesson?

Great job! You now know how to achieve office stress management just through your thoughts and attitude. Without becoming a psychologist!

What next from here? Hey you know the rest! Tell your family and friends about the new technique you learned. Tell your colleagues. Help everyone relieve their stress.

Work can be one tough place. Dealing with stress at your office or workplace is a truly beneficial skill to have. Use it! Live a stress free life!
