Ready to go? Here it is...

Office Stress Relief: Talk, Communicate

Why is communication so important in the workplace? Since we're in the computer generation, I'll give you a "tech" example. Think of communicating like a updating a blog.

Regularly, you have to update that blog. Why? If you don't, your subscribers and viewers are going to get bored and lose relationship with you.

In order to keep someone in good terms with you, you have to regularly let them know "what's going on". The same goes with your boss.

The more you let your boss know how you're doing (work), and the progress you're making, he/she will be encouraged to communicate even more with you.

What if your boss barely knew you?

You won't be as comfortable in the office. The more you are in "friendly terms" with someone, the more you will feel comfortable. And by feeling comfortable what happens?

No stress! If you walk in everyday with a boss happy to see you, how good would you feel?

Take-home Lesson?

Tell your boss how work is coming along, how you're feeling and he/she will feel good around you. It's all about your attitude and feelings towards each other.

That's how you can achieve office stress relief.

How about Colleagues?

Well, let's look at your co-workers. Just imagine this situation and you'll get a good understanding...

What if everyone hates you at work?

Hold it! It's not a silly example. Trust me, people feel stressed because of how other people at work feel about them.

So how do you solve this problem?

Communicate. Talk. Let them know how everything is going. Give them updates as to projects and deadlines. Fill them in. The more you talk to someone, the better you feel around them.

Now for the ideal scenario...

The Ideal Office Scenario

Imagine walking in to work, and everyone is glad to see you. You fill them in on what's going on, and they fill you in. You have just comfortably and easily communicated!

The same goes with your boss. You talk. She talks. Both of you leave with a clear message as to "what's going on".

Achieving office stress relief is the end result of all this. Everyone is feeling comfortable (I don't know how many times I've said that word) and happy.

You'll strive to work harder. Then you get more done, and you're even happier! Where's the room for stress with all this "happiness" going on?

You've Achieved Office Stress Relief!

Well, good job! You've know learned a new technique to deal with office stress. Use it, and don't forget to share it with your friends and family!

Have fun at work, and at life!
