Ok. If you read about stress and weight gain , you would know that stress raises cortisol levels in your body. And what does cortisol do?

You guessed it; it makes you crave for fatty and unhealthy foods!

So let's take it from the top...

If you're eating fatty foods more often, it could mean you have more cortisol in your body. And more cortisol = stress.

Ok. That's taken care of. But now it's time for you to decide whether or not your guilty of eating more "bad" foods.

1. Do You Find Yourself Eating Junk Food (chips, soda, etc) More Often? *By "more often", I mean at least 1 more time a day

2. Do You Find Yourself Thinking About Unhealthy or Fast Food?

3. Do You Feel Unsatisfied When You Don't Eat Junk Food?

4. Do You Feel More Lazy and Sluggish?

5. Do You Resort to Fast Food Instead of Cooking at Home?

Yep, it's major decision time!

Ok. If you answered "yes" to at least two of those questions, it's likely you're eating more. And remember; stress is only one the factors that makes you eat more unhealthy food.

So you could stressed. If you answered "no" to all or most of these questions, great! It's unlikely that you're stressed.

But if you did answer "yes" more than twice, it's not the end of world! You still have loads of helpful tips and techniques to help you out!

But you're not alone. Even I am guilty of snacking when I'm stressed. But with the stress tips, I am finding it easier to avoid the snack temptations.

Whenever I feel the sudden urge to eat junk food, I always think to myself: "Once I finish this snack, I'll be full. If I'm going to be full anyway, why not fill my stomach with something healthy?".

What does that mean? Let's take a look...

Why do you and I eat junk food? It tastes good, and it seems (it's not!) to relieve stress for a little while!

But once you're done, you feel full. You no longer want to eat anymore. And that's when you start regretting eating the junk food. Think about it...

While you're eating, no regrets! When you're finished and your stomach feels full, you think, "Oh, why couldn't I have eaten just an apple?"

Try it...Actually don't! Just think about it, and you'll understand why junk food is only a temporary pleasure.
