It makes you relax. It's a relaxation chemical. Relaxing... Sound like an "anti-stress" word? That's right. These relaxation chemicals help in reducing your stress. But it's not the proper way to reduce stress!

Why? Your body becomes reliant on it, and the stress worsens every time you don't give your body nicotine (but that's another story for another time).

Another fact on stress and smoking?

When you inhale the smoke, your body inhales it in a similar way you do in deep breathing exercises. It's yoga, the unnatural way!

See why smoking gives people stress relief? It relaxes your body, just like deep breathing does! And you know how much I stress the importance of yoga and deep breathing, don't you?
