Get it Your Way! If you're at a meeting or any place similar, try to get your way of doing things. Be assertive. Make people want to follow you.

You need to convince people that you have the right way of doing things. For example, if you're at an office meeting, get your ideas across and try to get it accepted.

Why? It will give you the confidence and power to live your life. Where's the time for stress when you're feeling so good about yourself?

Live For the Moment! Live right now. Do you ever worry about what you did yesterday, or what could happen tomorrow? It's all unnecessary. What's the point of worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet?

What's the point of worrying about something that already happened? You can't change the past or future by worrying. But you can make your future bright by not thinking about it.

Just forget about it! Live for now, and now only.

Have a "Getaway" Place. What do I mean by that? You should have a place where you just go and forget about everything that's happening in your life. Everything.

Forgetting about the problem doesn't help, does it? Well, if you temporarily forget about the problem, it will take the stress off your shoulders for a while.

And then? You will feel relieved, and the stress won't seem as big of a burden. You should practice this technique before you try the other stress management tips. Why?

It weakens the stress and makes it easier to conquer! Then the other techniques can finish the job...

It Stresses You Now, but Next Week? We mostly stress about the things that come and go. So, if you're stressing about a client meeting today, next week will you be stressing about the same thing? No. So?

Write down what's stressing you today. Then, come back after a week. Most likely, it won't be a stressor anymore. What a good feeling isn't it?

While taking in the good feeling, try to think back how exactly the stressor went away. And you'll be able to come up new techniques everyday!

Cry Like A Baby! Sometimes a good cry is all that's needed to get those stressful feelings out of your head. Just let it all out. Let it flow out of your body.

Think of the tears as your stress. So when you cry, it's like all your stress is coming out of your body.
