Stress Relief at Work: Give Yourself Breaks

Want stress relief at work? Give yourself breaks. Pace yourself. If you want workplace stress relief, using this tip is crucial to your success.

It's just the way we're "growing up". Jobs are getting much more stressful, and people always have the need to "do it all at once". But not you!

Ready for today's tip? Let's get right into it...

Stress Relief at Work: Never "All at Once"!

You see, this technique is quite similar to the last technique I wrote about. So if you want some "ground knowledge" first, I suggest you read about putting yourself first. Well, now that that's out of the way, let's get into the "why".

Why are breaks important?

First of all, you save yourself a whole lot of stress. Why? You're doing it a piece at a time. Therefore, it's easier on your brain. Your brain? Yes.

After all, the mental stress is "in you brain", so to speak. You see, your brain loves taking it easy. So if you can't handle the boatload of work, give your self breaks.

Give your brain a rest. Otherwise your brain is going to be corrupted by a monster called "stress"!

Stress Relief at Work: Your Mind Will Thank You

Care for another stress-killing benefit? After you temporarily rest your mind, it will also work better. Your brain will process things faster, but that's not even the best part.

Want to know the best part?

You will be less vulnerable to "catch stress". If your mind is not overwhelmed with work, you'll less likely to be stressed.

Hm. This tip may be new to you. Here's how I do it!

Stress Relief at Work: Here's How I do It!

It's all about finding your comfort zone. For me, I can't work straight for more than an hour. So here's what I do.

I work for about an hour. Give or take a few minutes. Then comes...Break Time! How do I rest my mind? Cheap thrills, like TV, watching video on Youtube, etc.

But what about the days when I am really stressed? I turn to fresh air. I go outside, and take in the fresh air. For about 15 minutes.

And then I get right back at it. For another hour. But you know the funny thing? After about two breaks or so, I find myself able to work for almost 2 hours!

See the effect those simple breaks give me?

So, how do you set time-limits for yourself? Simple. Through trial-and-error. Just see how long you feel comfortable working, and then give your self a break, for about a quarter of the time.

Trust me, it works really well.
