You guessed it; keep your personal issues out of the workplace. Why? You're about to find out. You know, some people use their job hours to do personal things, like making phone calls, surfing the internet, etc. But these practices cause stress. Why? How? Well get ready for some answers! Work Stress Relief: Your Job isn't Personal Hm...Your job isn't personal. What do I mean by that? Well, it means you shouldn't be spending your time doing "other" things during job hours. During break time, feel free. I know I am sounding like your boss right now, but I am telling you this for a different reason. You need to manage stress at work. And focusing on your job makes that happen. How? You're wasting time! You're getting less work done. And in a job setting, that comes back to bite you. You will start feeling stressed out because of not getting enough work done. After all, getting things done is the bottom-line of any job, right? Well, the more you get done, the more control you have over your job stress. Leave internet surfing for when you get home! The more work you finish at your job, the more satisfied you'll feel leaving the workplace. But there's always the next day... What happens the next day? You will feel happy to come to work! Why? Because you're on top of your tasks. Your in control. That's a great feeling to have when you're at work, especially when stress is haunting your mind. So, that's one benefit. How about another? Work Stress Relief: Friendly Relationships Friendly relationship? With whom? Your job! That's right. The more attention you give your job during work hours, the better you'll feel about it. Sound crazy? That's what I thought, until I tried it. Here's my story... Work Stress Relief: My Story I used to work part time at a tutoring centre. The first few days, it was truly boring. I could think of a thousand other things I would rather do. I was feeling really stressed out because it took up a lot of my time. I'm always blaming tutoring for taking up most of my time. You know how I spent my time there? Well, personally of course. I used to write down my schedule for the next day, and I was actually planning my own personal things on my job hours. Then, I though, "Why not give the work more attention?". That thought turned into reality. I started putting my best efforts to teach the children who didn't understand their mathematics. And you know what happened next? The "boss" called me up, and told me how much of a good job I had been doing. I was very proud of myself! I looked forward to coming each week! And what's more? No more stress. Why? I was able to focus 100% of my attention on the job, and the boss noticed that. I immediately felt happy about myself. Moral of the story? Turning your focus on work brings out the best in you. And what does that mean? You'll start to love work And that means....no more work stress! Take-home Lesson? Well, you have know learned the importance of keeping your personal issue out of your job hours. What does that mean? Focus on your job. It will eventually lead to work stress relief.
